- diễn tả sự tăng giảm lên xuống

đứng sau verb hoặc Noun

Giới từ By
-
thường đứng sau
động từ, diễn tả sự chênh lệch

By + số liệu (
lấy số lớn trừ số nhỏ)
3.
Giới từ of
-
thường đứng sau
danh từ, diễn tả sự chênh lệch
-
OF + số liệu (
lấy số nhỏ trừ số lớn)
Ex:
An increase of…%: sự tăng lên…. %
A drop of…% : sự giảm xuống…%
4. Giới từ At
- Giới at thường đứng sau động từ, diễn tả số
liệu tại 1 điểm cố định
Ex:
it peaked at 10 ( nó đạt điểm cao nhất ở 10)
Khi
biểu đồ không có số cụ thể, thi chúng ta cần sử dụng một số giới từ diễn tả sự
tương đối như : approximately, about, above, around…
Noted:
Tránh mắc lỗi khi diễn tả sự chênh lệch khi sử dụng giới từ of và by
Ex:
The
price of meat increases by $3000
There is an increase of $3000 in the price of meat.
